Long story; short? I have one week to make a dress for a black-tie masquerade event for work. Finally an excuse to put the Craftsy course purchased a year ago to work.
Day One: Planning
Remember this Louis Vuitton collection? Easy inspiration.

When I saw your sketch I immediately knew what your inspiration was! I can’t wait to see the finished version. Good luck! Also, welcome back, I missed your posts.

Cool~! I can’t wait to see the finished dress! There’s nothing like working under pressure.
That Louis Vuitton dress is beautiful. What fantastic inspiration! I can’t wait to see your finished version – if it’s anything near your drawing, it will be amazing! The fabrics used are very different to your average dress in similar style to this pattern which will add a quirkiness and edge to make it stand out more. Gorgeous!
Love the design. Best of luck kicking butt and taking names in a week. You’re so on top of this!

I absolutely love the contrast and unconventional look of the clashing materials – its something, price permitting, I would buy as soon as I saw…… and as everyone has said, your sketch is great.

I’m now your new follower of your blog. I’m a big woman and it seems all the designer dresses you have suits me. Well, I might look gorgeous on those.

I like the juxtaposition of the bombshell pattern with the toned-down fabrics. The fabrics together could be a little dirndl, but the pattern is so va-va-voom! Can’t wait to see the finished dress!
I also purchased that class a year ago and haven’t even thought about making the dress. It’s so much fancier than my lifestyle, but it would be awesome to have for the perfect occasion. Maybe you will inspire me!
